Smiles for Centreville in the Community
Smiles for Centreville is committed to making the world better through generosity and service. In addition to their work at Smiles for Centreville, our dentists regularly volunteer their expertise to provide dental health education, services, and products to the community. Our practice also supports charitable organizations working to improve lives both locally and globally.
Here are some of the ways we’ve worked to do good where we can:
- Every February, members of our team visit local elementary schools to talk to students about dental health and help students understand the benefits of having great oral hygiene!
- For over 25 years, Dr. Hutchison has provided services for the Mattaponi Indian Reservation.
- We participate in the annual Give Kids a Smile event, sponsored by the American Dental Association. Each year 480,000 children are treated annually around the country by volunteer dentists.
- We have provided toothbrushes to many organizations including Operation Christmas Child.
- We collaborate with Fairfax County Family Services to provide reduced-fee dentistry to those who can benefit from affordable dentistry.
- For over 5 years, we have supported the Cell Phones for Soldiers program.
- Our doctors volunteer their services at the Northern Virginia Dental Clinic in Bailey’s Crossroads, serving the working poor in Northern Virginia.
- We also participate with Mission of Mercy, which provides free health and dental services for the economically disadvantaged. Since its inception in 2000, Virginia dentists and their staff have worked on 35 weekend projects throughout Virginia and have provided over $14 million in free dental care. Our dentists at Smiles for Centreville have volunteered in many of these events.
